I removed ~5lbs from my flywheel on a NF when going into my 84 4kq, while 
there were many changes made at the same time (compression, 300k mile use to 
fresh, port and polish) and so a direct comparison is a bit unfair, I have 
not noticed ANY downsides to my work. Everything is improved. I even turned 
the  flywheel myself.
