[urq] One part went from $1.75 to 13.87 (ball stud for trunk
struts) 14 years later.

To remove the strut from the ball stud, you must remove a small wire
retaining clip from the ball cap on the strut. It clips around the end and
when unclipped, you can slide it out of the cap altogether. This will allow
the ball to come out of the cap.
