[urq] Gear Shift Lever

1986 Audi 4 door Quattro with 282,000km.

In cold weather the gear shift lever is hard to pull into 2nd gear, when rolling at 10km/hr the gear shift lever hard to put into 1st gear, putting into 2nd gear will work but little vibration because Tacho shows < 1200rpm. When running for 15 minutes no problem with shifting, never problem shifting into any other gear at any temperature. 
Would change of 80/90 transmission oil help to shift smoothly?
