Looks like the roots are British.  Maybe started by the same folks
that came up with "jounce,"  not quite sure why we need both a shudder
and a judder and a bounce and a jounce.

Lol, I don't have much help of offer regarding the issue tho'.  =)
My Coupe quattro gets it sometimes too.  I would suggest verifying the
wheels are properly torqued for starters.  On some cars, the hubs can
actually distort from improper or uneven torquing.
