ame questions here... but since my car is a well worn daily driver, the
cision is easier to make. It needs a paint, front seats and maybe a new
ad (at least a head gasket job...) so I'm questioning the path to follow
o. A period correct rally-inspired paint job, some new seats (Corbeau,
arco, Momo), a cage and a mildly tuned 10V (probably EFIed) is the goal.
o ease your decision, and mine too, just say to yourself that with 11 000
rs built, finding another nicer unrestored urQ will be relatively easy. If
ed be...

ello All,
have been tormenting myself back and forth on my 83 ur-q trying to decide
keeping it mostly stock is the way to go (interior, exterior, with some
nor mods under the hood for better power & reliability) OR if I should
ke the path I'd like to, and go weekend warrior track car with it (20vt,
ged, not much left stock, etc).
ow some would say the resale is only there for an unmolested car, which in
st cases I would say is correct, but after seeing several A2 rally
plicas hit the market for well over what even the most pristine of
molested Ur-q's are selling for really has me second guessing which path
take on this project. Now, all in all resale really doesnt matter as I
an to be buried in the car, and from that fact alone I should be able to
ke up my mind and just do what I want... but theres something else....
is little thing called responsibility that is kicking me in the butt
lling me to not wreck the resale on the car making it in to what I want
posed to what it used to be.
nsight appreciated, I just found it interesting that a replica of a rally
r would sell for double what a pristine perfect museum quality Ur-q would
 for...
