Also found out at the time BTW, that on
his particular early FW - Fidanza put the timing pin in the correct location,
ut it was an aluminum pin not steel.

Oh wow, how long did it take to diagnose that one, or were you fortunate/observant enough to notice before install?

Eric
he answer is "it depends". I was the first shop to actually try to fit the
idanza Flywheel to a tq016 many years ago (late 90's). The early Fidanza
lywheels were not correctly machined for the 20vt motors. Basically the depth
f the flywheel was around 6-7mm too deep IIRC, which caused the clutch to not
e able to fully engage. I ended up making a jig on a press and determined that
he thickness dimension of the FW was incorrect. I might have the notes I made
n was was required to make it fit. Also found out at the time BTW, that on
his particular early FW - Fidanza put the timing pin in the correct location,

Otherwise, you can use the 91 200tq FW and Clutch with an AAN/016 as a bolt-on.

ssuming the AAN crank is same as 3B (I think it is) - yes just 200 20V
clutch (assuming th Fidanza FW doesn't affect anything). I have a Southbend
Stage II organic material disc. I think it uses normal SACHS pressure plate
- clutch feels like stock. If you don't get a new flywheel - make sure to
have your old one resurfaced.

Hi gang,

My AAN motor is sloooowly coming along (no LeMons/ChumpCar racing until July

in the 90q20v's), and I am starting to gather
the parts I need to install it into my '82 urq. I was hoping to get some
advice from y'all about what clutch PP, disc, and TO
bearing I need. I plan to use a Fidanza aluminum flywheel that I picked up

many, many years ago. Will a straight-up 200q20v
clutch kit work for the AAN + 016?

If so, I was thinking of trying the Southbend HD-Stage 2-Endurance since
she'll be mostly a weekend driver but probably see quite a bit of track
time.

Does anyone have clutch recommendations based on what they have tried?

Cheers,
Eric
