That fuel consumption sounds a bit high to me, especially from a motorway 
run, I don't have exact figures, but I reckon I get almost as much in miles per 
gallon as you got in kpg. However, if you have a dodgy O2 sensor, that can 
knock fuel economy way off, as in the worst case scenario, I believe the ECU would 
switch to open loop mode (effectively running the engine without the O2 
feedback - which is what precisely controls the amount of fuel injected, etc as it 
measures how completely, or not, the combustion has taken place by monitoring 
the exhaust gasses) which I think generally runs a little rich. In any case, 
I'd change that O2 sensor, or at least renew the butt 'plug' (heh) ASAP simply 
because you risk damaging a catalytic converter if one or both sensors aren't 
working correctly, and the cats on these cars are very expensive!
