Hi guys,
OK latest problem in the cylinder head gasket job (I solved the other ones,
thank you all for your suggestions!):
We removed the coolant drain plug (the one directly underneath the rear of
the block, right next to the bell housing) and nothing came out. Poking a
bit of wire up there revealed a LOT of gunge and crap, despite apparently
clear coolant water elsewhere, but NO coolant. Even after a lot of poking no
coolant.
In the end we were forced to remove the heads without completely draining
the block, but we'll still need a way to remove this crud from the inside of
the block with the heads off perhaps, in order to get everything clean and
flushed coolant wise.
Any ideas? Does anyone know the layout of that coolant passage?
Cheers,
James
