I received a failure notice the first time I sent this message,

Subject: Details That Trip You

Thank you for all your responses. I have read all the threads that were
sent to me regarding changing the cam positioned sensor (CPS). I have
located the sensor in the car and will hopefully be receiving a new one
tomorrow, Friday.

One of the posters said: "it will take a 10 mm socket (better make it a
1/4" drive ratchet setup because of limited access). first unplug the
two wire connector by depressing the release loop and gently pulling the
connector. then unbolt the sensor."

I cannot see clearly how this "loop" is hooked and where to depress.

1- Do I just press in at the middle of the wire loop and the connector
will loosen?

2- Do I have to keep it pressed while pulling the connecting wires?

3- Or, do I take it off with a pair of pliers or screwdriver?

4- Does it move or swing up or down out of the way?

I have yet to see the lower screw, but I know that I can find it by
feeling around. Maybe I should take the unit off first and then
disconnect it from the wires.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thank you.
