[V8] Idle Stablization

I've heard of people using some type of lubricant on the Idle Stablizer.  
Mine seems to get sluggish in cold weather -- car will die when I try to drive 
off when cold.

1) Any fixes?

2) If I need to get a new idle stablizer, any suggested places and ballpark 
prices?
