[V8] Hall Sensor [was cam speed sensor]

The sensor is not replaceable unless you have some fancy machine shop tools to 
take it apart and press it back together. (and the replacement part)
The part is easily testable with a volt meter. I would remove the distributor 
both for a good inspection and to make testing easier.
There is a section in the manual that describes in detail how to check it out 
but basically you have 5 volts supply to the unit (I think the two outer wires) 
and the center wire is signal. First verify supply voltage, then measure the 
signal wire while rotating the distributor shaft. It should switch from 5 volts 
to zero as you rotate the shaft. These sort of sensors are usually pretty 
robust. I would look hard at the wires and connectors for your problem.
