[V8] installing spring / fog up

... if you need a quick fix you can always wedge the recirc door open ...
lift up the plastic cover that covers the shelf at the back of the engine
compartment, push the recirc door back towards the passenger compartment and
stick something in the gap to keep the door open.  In most situations this
is the normal operating position, so this should tide you over until you
have the proper repair parts and warmer weather ... 

If you aren't getting any heat it may be that the vacuum line that actuates
the recirc door has come loose ... this also prevents the heater control
valve from getting actuated.
