... if the light flickering is linked to brake application you may be
right ... but it could be something as simple as the hydraulic fluid
reservoir being a shade low ...
The tests I do when I suspect a bomb are: 1- after shutting of the
engine test how many times you can depress the brake pedal before you
lose assist ... 20 or more you are fine, 10 or less you should plan on
the R&R; and 2 - test a panic stop under safe conditions. If you don't
feel brake assist for the first fraction of a second on pedal
application you should consider replacing the bomb ...
While I have yet to do this on a V8, the bomb is located in a fairly
convenient place behind the left headlight ...
