... given that you have the tools and parts the timing belt isn't really 
that bad IME ... especially with the engine out of the car ... ;-)

Don't worry about the ABS light until after you get the battery/alternator 
figured out ... if there's a problem with the alternator/charging it will 
cause the ABS system to remain shut off ...
