I'm probably one of the 4 users Keith is referring to, and I'll second his comments.  I went from G60s to the BIRA Sys3 w/ black 996 calipers with euro A8 slotted rotors and the difference is obvious; never any brake fade (I don't track the car, but there's sections of road around here where the G60s would go to s**t quickly).  Overall braking distance chopped by a third and much more stable.  Also much much better in wet conditions.

The squealing bothers me, but I haven't yet done anything to try to stifle it, save for some anti-squeal which didn't help at all.  Keith's shims and grooves are probably good ideas.  I'm using Porsche pads, which a local P tech told me was a good source of squealing themselves.  It now comes and goes, so I'm waiting it out until I feel creative.
