You cannot remove the fuel injection system as it also controls the ignition. Not to mention the transmission takes inputs from the engine computer. Your red neck carb setup is probably only feeding fuel to the center 4 cylinders. Not to mention you have a second throttle plate buried in the intake manifold. Did you cut a hole in the hood to clear the carb? What about the fuel pressure from the pump? 45 PSI is way to much for a carb. If you were smart, you would have replaced the blown fuse or ECU that is causing the problem instead of ruining a fine piece of machinery.
Why don't you sell the car for parts as you've destroyed it and buy a proper redneck car, a 79 camaro or 82 mustang?
