Sounds more like a condenser. It's used as a noise suppressor, to keep
the radio from whining to the rhythm of the RPMs. If it's indeed the
condenser, you really don't "need" it. You can bypass till you have time
to pick one up at a FLAPS or stereo outlet. If you want to get it from
Audi, it's PN: 441903291, and it's covered under service bulletin
#A27-90-01.
