[V8] top strut bearings - difference?

Arcane V8 questions du jour . . .

I have a pair of 441-412-377 upper strut bearings. FA says these fit 87ish
5TQ. The part number for V8 is the same, with suffix "D" instead of no suffix.

Anyone know the difference between 441-412-377 and 441-412-377D? More
important, can I use what I have, or *must* I have the "D" parts?

Also discovered that the outer ball joint on the upper trap arms (both of
them!) are squeaky - a shot of spray lithium grease under the boot quiets
them down for a while, but they are done. The ball joint alone is
443-505-153B - can I buy that instead of the entire arm assembly?

Now that the weather here has cooled off slightly, this thing runs SO WELL
. . . !

Best Regards,
