... I echo Cobram's sentiments ... best of all, you are still in one
piece and it sounds as though noone was seriously injured!

My modus operandi in situations like this is to hand the issue off to my
insurance company so that their system can help me deal with my vehicle
and go after the one at fault.  The downside is that I have to pay my
deductible, but so far every time I've gotten it refunded when they
exact their due from the one at fault ...
