[V8] Amperage of fusible link for radiator fan??

Well Advanced, Standard Pep boys nor the dealer had the 80 Amp fuse so I crimped a 65A Honda fuse and put it in - stop gap. The fan works now when the A/C is on so I know that the fan runs - hooray. Will get the part from the dealer later today.

However the original problem remains, which is the low coolant/engine overheating lamp coming on 2 mins after I start the car even when the temp gauge is at 50C. Coolant level is fine. Although there seems to be a thin wire under the pressurized reservoir that seems to be attached with duct tape - what impact this may have I know not. I figured if the level sensor was off/busted then it should show up when I do the check. Everything is 'OK' after the check.

Also, the fan doesn't seem to run even when the temp is up to 100 C unless the A/C is turned on. Any idea's? I was planning on buying the relays for the fan while I am at the dealer and replacing them. Does the esteemed group figure that will solve the problem? Advice, admonishments, miracle fixes - all are welcome. Thanks for you replies in advance.

And I obviously misplaced the decimal point on the price. It was $1.50.
