[V8] lighting and deer hunting

The DOT V8 lights are substandard on low beam, but on high beam they're
really not all bad, at least for their time.  If they looked as good
cosmetically as the euros, this may be a non-issue.   Other type 44s
have unconscionably(?) horrible, terrible lights -- the V8's are better
on all aspects.
