[V8] TB cover seals...what should I do?

First, I'm just getting started learning how to work on these things, so
forgive me if I don't get the terminology right....
I was checking the various oil in my 90 V8Q the other day, and when I had
the hood open, I noticed that one of the rubber seals that goes between the
metal cover for the timing belt area and the rest of the engine is getting
sort of "sucked in" to the gap that it's made to seal. The one on the left
side of the engine is getting sort of sucked in and the other looks like
it's just fine. I had the timing belt changed about 30k miles ago.
I'm sure the seal isn't supposed to do that, but what should I do to fix
this, or should I send it to my mechanic to get it fixed? Thanks for any
advice.
