[V8] Reluctant Bumper Cover

I'm getting ready to install the $1000 worth of timing belt parts from Audi
Connection except I can't get the @#$$%^&*  bumper cover off.  I've removed
the six nuts with 13mm heads that are supposed to be the main retainers.
I've pried the ends loose at the wheel wells, but I can't budge anything.
I've tried banging on one of the studs the nuts came off with a stick and a
heavy deadblow hammer.  I've even used the hammer on the ends of the cover.
 Hasn't moved a millimeter.

I've had the bumper cover on and off my 200q20v repeatedly with amost no
effort.  Just put it back on yesterday as I wound up my A/C compressor
replacement.

What the heck am I missing?
