The first tool is the same one that can be used for changing the OXS ... it is pretty much a standard deep socket with the side hogged out. This allows you to hold the strut shaft steady using an Allen wrench. I've heard folks indicate that if you use an impact wrench on the strut nut it eliminates the need for this tool.
The second tool is indeed something very much like a nut welded onto a tube. This tool engages the hex cap for the strut. It is a very cool tool indeed, but if you are planning to go with Bilsteins you will get a different cap anyway. You can access the strut cap with pliers from inside the wheel well.
