[V8] Maximizing Fuel Economy

If you totally blocked off the oil radiator/cooler - does the temp go up to
normal?
I think this would be a pretty safe test since the oil cooler doesn't even exist
on most cars.
This could prove out your theory about the thermostat without having to buy one
- and I assume they are not cheap.

btw, what is "normal" oil temp?

I really notice my mileage going down in cold weather, and it seems my oil temp
is below the bottom 1/4 of the guage most of the time - although I really don't
watch it that much. Perhaps I have the same problem?
