[V8] O2 Sensor-?????

Well, what CAN happen is that the the antiseize or other contaminant  
kills the sensor. Another thing I noticed when I went to plug mine in  
was the female blade connector from the sensor lead is not snug  
(somewhat loose).  I suspect this would/could give give erroneous  
readings as well.  I'm in the same boat as you right now.  My mileage  
has suffered of late, so at first I disconnected the O2 sensor and my  
mileage got WORSE.  Now I've replaced the 02 sensor and it doesn't  
seem much better than with it disconnected (though with the '93 the  
engine check light will come on if you disconnect the sensor.   
Thinking of resetting the computer by unplugging the motronic fuse  
for a bit and see if that helps.
