Currently my miles to empty is playing games like each of my 5KTQs. It'll
go from 500 to 900 or so and finally synch with the gas gauge around the
last 1/4 of the tank. Currently have 250 miles on the tank, gauge shows
1/2 full. (it falls like a stone on the 2nd 1/2!)
My low gas symbol just came on and my miles to empty was blinking 25 before
rallying to 85 as I got to work, about 3 miles!

I'm sure I can disable that without much trouble.
Of course, this IC isn't perfect -- 720 miles to empty? I don't
think so!
Ideas regarding the bad circuit/tracde solder joint on the original
instrument cluster?
