Joe.. 

Yes you can just splice into the rear speaker wires..but you don't need
a RCA converter. The wire is already a low level input (before the
amps). So you only need to add a RCA end to the wire and plug it into
the Sub Amp. You'll want to do this for both sides so the Bose stuff see
the same level inputs or you'll get an out of balance issue going.
