Like Yogi Berra used to say....It's deja-vu all over again. ;-)
The (an) owner of the 1995 V8Q was on the old V8Q list briefly WAY back,
so indeed the car was delivered. Back in 1998 or 1999 (anyone know where
this stuff is archived on the net?) the 1995 V8Q was listed on the "most
stolen" car list that was distributed by the insurance companies along
with policy renewals. They must use statistical analysis...as 1 car =
100% theft rate.
I started seeing the stolen from the port story start circulating around
the same time. They are not mutually exclusive...maybe one did get
delivered and the other stolen? Stolen one later replaced? My BS meter
starts to peg when things like the port story only appear a few years
after the alleged incident.
Speaking of archives....does anyone know if there are archives from the
ole Washington V8Q list when Eliot ran it, before the merge? Is it just
a formatting thing or are there no archives from the old list?
