I dunno. ETKA doesn't show one.
I looked at the 1991 V8, and under Main Group 8 (Body), SubGroup 5,
illustration 105-00, it shows part number 441 805 692 B, "sound
dampening pan".
There is no corresponding part for the 1989-91 200. That is, ETKA
has no Main Group 8, Subgroup 5, Illustration 105 for the 200. I
did find part number 447 803 979, "sound dampening pan tunnel"
that seems to fit under the transmission tunnel. That was under
Subgroup 4, Illustration 103-20.
Also, ISTR my 200 alternator had some sort of shroud under or
in front of it, but I can't find that in ETKA.
It should not be too difficult to cobble one together from some
sheet aluminum and sheet metal screw/bolts/zip ties. It doesn't
have to be a belly pan, just enough to protect the alternator.

My guess: accident damage at the fender lip. But along the door,
I suspect trim clips rubbing away the galvanized coating causing
road salt to eat away at the metal underneath -- as happened on
my '89 200.
