[V8] What would it take?

Ryan,

I fully understand the ideas your presenting, however, sometimes I have to shake my head. We'll see a new lister come on board who bought a very cheap V8. Some as little as $1k or less. Then, before a week passes, they're back with a laudry list of problems which will, in most cases, require thousands of dollars to rectify. I, personally, would rather buy Mike Del Tergo's nearly flawless 1990 for $7K and not have to worry about the car. Unfortunately, I don't think the buying populus agrees with me.

Everyone knows that the value of V8q's has been tanking as of late, but special cars can still get decent prices. It may take a fair amount of time to get the right person interested at a fair price, but cheap cars will always sell quickly. I have gone both ways in selling cars. Obviously, some people will see other V8q's going for $1000, and wonder what you're thinking, but people who know the history of the car and what has gone into it will be willing to pay for that. Unfortunately, those people are few and far between. Even then, they may need time to think about it and convince their significant others that a 15 year old car is worth it. In short, the car is probably worth what you're asking, but that doesn't mean you'll sell it in a week.... or even a year. I guess the real question is... How much do you want/need to sell the car? Price it accordingly. \Ryan
