[V8] What would it take?

Guys,
I haven't watched this thread as much as I should have before
commenting - most of the time I just watch - but I can't resist. My first
v8 I paid $1500 for about 8years ago - it had 116k on it and was in poor
shape cosmetically - paint was faded. It went to 185k and was in good
shape when I wrecked it about 3 years ago.
A year ago I bought my second one. Paint was great (color I like too!),
recipts showing $1500 worth of wheels and tires that had about 200mi. on
them, $1700 worth of brand new stereo stuff - and a bad tranny. I paid
$500 for it in Michigan, and not counting the towing costs ($400) to get
it home I have not quite a grand in a car that will last a long time.
Given, I had the tranmission to put in and I have replaced a few things
that bugged me but the car only has 112k on it right now and runs great.
Point is you can find a decent v8 for cheap.
If Corey, the guy I bought it off of, is reading this - I just want to
say thanks for the car, and I told you it would go to a good home! Could
I sell the car and make a buck - maby a little, but would I - probably
not!
Thanks,
Jason
