[V8] Stick a fork in the V8 I am done ;-)

Ditto my 93. I really haven't put much thought into it, for better or
worse.

Congrats on keeping the beast. I can totally identify with the urge to
bail. I've just started to try to trust a mechanic again, first with the ur
quattro, and I was broken in to the tune of $882 for a timing belt job,
replace both front outer cv boots, and replace the strut bearings.

I just can't do it all myself, with 6 old Audis, the newest being the 93 V8.
When people say "just sell some" it still stings. Can't. Won't. Not yet
anyway.

Still, I think the last thing I will "farm out" will be a V8 timing belt
job, as there's just too much at stake there.

The next test is the 90 V8 goes in for replacement of the trans filter
screen, a front outer CV boot, and possibly the a/c clutch. Hopefully after
that it will cool down enough that I'll be more motivated. The new job may
suck up some of or otherwise interfere with that motivation though.

Or, maybe I just need a little financial abuse to get my mind right.

Anyway, congrats again on deciding to keep and maintain the beast.

Ed
