[V8] running short of hair to pull out

Dang thing . . .

I am able to get it to start without too much cussing, but now it won't 
keep running. Unstable idle, won't take throttle, eventually stalls,not 
responding properly to throttle. Restarts, same thing.

New fuel pump, nothing else changed, car not wet (no rain in 5 weeks, 
and if you follow the news, large brush fires in the area), this thing 
is NOT cooperating . . .

Napalm, perhaps?
