[V8] I could fix it or buy a different one...

I'd advise anyone interested in a Houston area car to triple check for
flood damage. I wouldn't buy one without pulling the dash pad and the
passenger floor insulation to check, only takes a couple minutes for
both.
Many moons ago in my misspent youth, I worked a couple of summers on the
outskirts of Houston fixing, towing and whatever cars and International
trucks. When there was decent rainfall during storms, tornados, etc.
certain areas of Houston would flood big time, and we'd spend weeks doing
little more drying out cars. Caveat Emptor, the last thing anyone needs
is a V8Q with electrical gremlins, well, more than the usual anyway.
