So, I have looked into this problem further, and have noted a few oddities
in my case. First, I think that this is causing my slow but constant drain
on the battery.
I just noticed today that there is a wire spliced from the harness right to
the ground of the battery to bypass the pump for some reason. Probably not
a good thing. The wire is Green with a white stripe, and it is on the 16
pin tan connector that goes to pump itself. The wires has been cut, spliced
into another one, and routed right to the negative terminal of the
battery. Sooo, that is no fun.

On top of this, i opened up the box and have noticed scorching on the
cricuit board on some terminals and along one path, so this is likely also
bad. The motor is giving off a small bit of black dust, not sure if this is
the original pump or not, but it's case is in tact at least. I think it was
a replacement pump. Anyway, thoughts on what I should do? I'm getting a
second pump, but was wondering about the harness and possibly testing the
old pump once I put it back together. Thanks for the help on this and take
care all!
