As a simple test, take it to an O'Reilly's (or similar) auto parts store.
They will loan you a nice Innova scanner to use on-premise; they just ask
for your DL as a deposit.
Read the codes (write them down), and reset them. Then drive home or around
and see if the codes come back. You may need to go back to the store again
to re-read the codes to see which ones re-occurred. Some may be old ones
that have been corrected but never cleared. Or maybe no codes will be
thrown if they were all old codes.
I keep meaning to buy a used Innova scanner off ebay, but honestly I need
one so infrequently I just go down the road to O'Reilly's (nee Schuck's).
