4 out 4 of my V8's are on the disabled list and I plan on tackling the starter replacement today on the 91.

I have the "detailed" 4 book shop manual for the V8 with a very detailed description on changing out the starter.

Quote 1.)"Disconnect Battery"

          2.) "Remove starter"

Sounds pretty simple, but I have a feeling it's a little more difficult.

I have heard from several people that the easiest way to get to the top bolt is to remove the passenger side distributor to access the 10mm allen bolt.

Is the distributor removal difficult? Does it have to be marked and can it only go back in one way? I remember working on the old Fords and Chevys and you had to have the rotor and teeth lined up just right when reinstalling the distributor or your timing was off.

Any advice would be appreciated
