Yes, the computer controls the sport mode. It takes information from the TPS
and uses it along with other data I'd imagine (RPM, Road speed, etc) and
determines the correct shift points. According the the factory info I have,
it shouldn't shift into fourth until 124, IIRC. However, mine will shift
just like your 91-93. I did drive a 90 that wouldn't shift into fourth at
all in the driving we did with it(I don't think we exceeded about 105). BTW,
mine is a 91. Wonder if they might have changed the programming for that?
