[V8] EVO V8's

Now I distinctly remember someone posting about dyno testing of a 4.2 litre
V8 that was unmodified.  This was a long time ago now, at least in terms of
electronic communication.  I remember the comment that the car demonstrated
305 horsepower on the four wheel dyno.  The posters at that time said that
the Audi V8 ALWAYS showed more power than the factory officially had
acknowledged.

Of course, I might have dreamed the entire thing.  Last night I dreamed I
was back in the insurance game...GAME not business.  I had been to a medical
lab to have some tests done, and they told me my results...too much oxygen
in the blood or some such....and then corrected themselves when another
technician discovered that the wrong sample had  been consulted.  I then
proceeded to demand to see the lab manager and discussed the ramifications
of THAT action, taken a step beyond in terms of a medical malpractice suit.


It was a NIGHTMARE.  Of course in the dream, all of the technicians were
sitting around at regular secretarial desks, and pipettes, swabs, and the
usual stuff of the medical lab were all kept in regular desk drawers. And
patients were allowed right into the middle of  the whole "lab".  NIGHTMARE.

So, you see, 305 HP for an Audi V8 in a dream could have been easy, and
might have been a deliberate change of dream channels by my feverish brain.

But what I REMEMEBER was that the car was box stock, and the dyno lived
somewhere out in Caleeeefornication.
