Hey Bob, there's a write-up in the Knowledge base about how to access  
the codes thru the head unit.(if there are any).   That's how I  
figured out the "heater flap motor" on the '93 was dead.  The '93 is  
newer/different than the 90-91.  Sounds a bit like you might have a  
bad ground somewhere, but as I've never had the dash off, someone  
else will likely have a better response....good luck....Tom
