There is no functional difference between the two knock sensors.I do believe 
one has a considerably longer cord, so just double-check to make sure it 
will fit. Other than that, just like the reference/timing sensors, the 
colors are there to keep the orientation for each.

Make sure you torque them to spec. If not, the crystal in them will not 
function correctly.

To a question: The brown ended knock sensor had some of the wire covering 
worn off. I have a new green ended knock sensor,+- $15.
The browns are considerably more. +-$50(?)
I do know that the ends seem to be interchangeable. I have crossed them over 
previously.
Is there a difference? Can I just buy another green and plug in?
