Anybody interested in reading up, here are a number of usefull sites, some
cover the same stuff.  Daniel sterns is a good one for sure.  The hir
website is about the best source for getting the bulbs (nissan sells them
for 120 or so a pop (:  ) and has a few links showing output comparisons.

Driving lights with 3000k hids or selective yellow bulbs may be kinda nice
on a truck going through hills for cheap honestly.  But for oem I would
just clean the housings up and throw good bulbs and a harness kit in and be
done with it.
