I’m a month away from wrapping up an amazingly busy ski season this year. This season I’ve been in training for my Level IV CSIA ski instructor certification. (Highest in Canada) I have a better chance on becoming an F-18 fighter pilot than becoming a Level IV …ha ha.

Last June I bought myself an Audi A8/97 4.2 to replace my ageing 87 Audi 5000CDqt. The A8 is a beautiful ski car because it is all aluminum space frames so it won’t rust. I’m not happy with the snow tires I purchased for the car … it’s by no means like my 5000 for grip and Tank like ability. The A8 has giving me no grief and has preformed flawlessly. It has a love for fuel, but its nice arriving at the ski hill in a real ski car.

So spring is a month or two away and now I’m starting to get “V8 fever” again. The fever was partly caused by going to Carlisle in 2010 and seeing all thou nice V8’s (5-6) Also it was great to meet some really great v8 owners. My pearl white 93 v8 was repainted before I bought it … the paint is Arctic White which I really like, but there is some paint work I’ll need to do. I’m going to spend the money and get it professionally polished until she shines like a champ. At the rear bumper above the chrome strip I have a few surface rust areas that will need to be addressed. What I’m planning on doing is taking the whole bumper off and bringing it down to bare metal & repainting that small area … I’d rather have a slight miss-match in colour (Canadian spelling for the word colour ) than have rust! Three year ago I completely repainted my 5000’s , now that was a project and a half. Next project will be to put the Blistine Shocks and HR springs on the car that I acquired from a friendly seller at Carlisle. After completing all the suspensions work I’ll have to get the car realignment so I might as well replace all the steering linkages etc. I have two nice and shinny E-Cut Outs to put on in the spring ? E-Cut outs or Exhaust cut outs are placed after the Cats, you operate the E-Cut Outs by a small electrical switch. When the switch is turned on it opens both solenoid (butterfly valve ) and you get full exhaust sound . More of a fun gimmick than anything else … I can’t wait until I’m at a traffic light and one of those ricer cars revs his engine J

Well hopefully I can get this all done before Carlisle superdave
