[V8] 5 Speed for sale in Denver

The car looks like a one owner car should.  Clean and in good shape overall.  Does need an AC compressor, 
drivers side headlight, a peice of walnut for the ashtray, and a drivers door panel speaker cover.  
I took it for a spin and it runs good and shifts great, much more crisp shifting than my other 5 speed.  
It's been sitting for a year and a half.  
 
I took off the broken AC compressor.  PO says it was converted to r134a on its last service.
There was no oil in the compressor or the ac lines when disconnected.  
 
I'm thinking I need a new $300 r12 compressor form rockauto and just fill the system with freeze 12 and oil.
What do you guys think of that plan?  Or should I get the $800 r134a compressor rockauto sells?
