[V8] T belt slip...

Line the cams back up and put a new belt on, pull the spark plus and do a compression check. I've heard that if a belt goes at low RPMs there may not be any bent valves.

It is too bad the automatic heads don't have the pins near the cam pulley to make it more difficult for the belt to jump ... saved my bacon on #344 when the tensioner failed.

I'm in Olympia, WA.
Ron, are you talking the delrin bushing?
I changed it about 45 k miles ago last time I did the belt.
The water pump is not seized but appears to have been leaking.

Anyway to tell if valves are toast w/o pulling the heads?
