The electrical portion of the switch (not the part the key fits into)
is not that expensive. I'm thinking $30-50 at the dealer, and you want
the dealer OEM part. The aftermarket ignition switches don't last 6
months.
I haven't done a V8 ignition switch, but it's about a 1/2 hour job on
a Type 44 200. Basically, you pop the instrument cluster out, undo
the tiny set screws that are covered in red paint (a drop of nail polish
remover does wander to soften the paint) that hold the electrical part
to the key part of the switch, pull the electrical half away from the key
half, undo the electrical connector and you're half way there. Reverse the
process with the new switch and you're done.
I have no clue where the blinker relay might be.
