I solved my intermittant fuel issues(sometimes no fuel) on the old  
Saab by replacing the ECU.  Not saying that's it, but intermittant,  
and "wierd" sound like something electrical.  How about Fuel Pressure  
Regulator?...How about that looped vacuum hose by the intake from the  
FPR.....I've replaced that vacuum hose on all 3 cars after finding  
the cracked/mummified one on the Pearl car years ago.  They get  
baked.  Good luck..Tom
