[V8] Dizzy Hall sensor, knock sensors

Just some random thoughts John:

I just cured a MIL light problem by finding that my distributor caps were shorting through the black conductive cover around them. It was weird - the motor seemed to run fine but I kept getting a too rich code. bottom line is suspect everything...

have you checked the 5 volts at the distributor?

any possibility you have some worn or missing teeth on the starter ring gear? as I recall, the symptom was not running too well above about 2k RPM for someone else who had this problem.

Is the timing sensor mounted properly? if it is too far away from the teeth, same problem as above??

any chance the fuel pump is crapping out? can it supply enough fuel under load and at speed?
