[V8] checking transmission fluid level

Sounds definitely like a mount of some sort. Since you say it happens when
you "get on it" -- it would mean under load/torque. Even though it sounds
like it's coming from underneath your seat, it could be anywhere along the
drivetrain, including trans mount (or collapsed/failed engine mount(s),
center support bearing and -- what I've also had happen on my first V8 --
broken mount/bolt at the rear differential -- allowing for excessive
movement of the diff housing under load, causing excessive driveshaft
deflection that it would hit inside the tunnel.
